This feature was specifically requested by the English company Rose, Morris & Co.. The “1997” was the model code given by the english company instead of Rickenbacker’s “330” as well and were sold from 1964 to 1969. The guitar is being dated to 1964 based on the serial number and pot codes making this a very early example.
