Cosmetic Condition: The guitar shows expected signs of age, with finish checking on the front, patches of wear through to wood on the back of the body, and binding deterioration typical of Gretsch guitars from this era. There is some finish wear around the heel from the neck reset, as well as finish hazing on the headstock face. There is a finish crack on the headstock face extending under the name plate.
Modifications/Repairs: The neck has been reset.
Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with medium-low action, and is currently set up with 10 gauge strings with a wound G. The neck has optimal relief with a slight hump where it meets the body; the truss rod is adjustable. The frets are medium height with light wear and some divots present under the treble strings on the first few frets. The serial number and construction appointments date the guitar to 1969.
