Neck Details: Honduran mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard and parallelogram inlays. There are extra holes in the headstock from a previous truss rod cover. A strap button has been installed in the heel. A section of binding on the bass side from the first to fifth fret has been glued back in place.

Hardware: Truss rod cover and tuners have been replaced. All other hardware is original. (Bridge and bridge base are Brazilian rosewood).

Modifications / Repairs: The frets have been leveled, the tuners and truss rod cover have been replaced, a strap button has been installed in the neck heel, and a crack has been repaired on the top. A section of binding on the bass side of the neck from the first to fifth fret has been glued back in place.

Cosmetic Condition: This guitar is in good condition with wear from age and use. The finish is glossy, hazy, and weather-checked with scratches, dents, dings, chips, and areas of wear throughout. The crack repair on the top is visible.

Tech Notes: The guitar is currently set up with flatwound .11 gauge strings and plays well with optimal action. The frets are wide and low, showing moderate wear. The serial number dates to 1955.
