Description

The following specs were carefully collected and recorded by a skilled technician. For a more detailed description and questions regarding sound, feel, or cosmetic condition, please call to speak to one of our experts.

Summary

Finish: Original

Body Material: Maple Body

Body Details: Solid four piece maple body. A hole was drilled for the pickup selector switch.

Neck Material: Maple Neck

Neck Profile: “C” profile

Neck Thickness (IN): .82″ (1st fret), .93″ (12th fret)

Fingerboard Radius: 12.00″

Nut Width: 1-5/8″

Scale Length: 34

Neck Details: Bolt-on maple neck with unbound rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, and headstock truss rod adjustment. There is a small pinhole with a finish crack at the end of the fretboard at the treble side, which is cosmetic only.

Electronics: The pickups are original epoxy-potted Epiphone pickups; the wiring harness has been fully replaced and the bass has been wired for passive operation. The controls include 3-way toggle selector switch and volume/tone controls for each pickup. The pickups are out-of-phase in the middle position, and the volume controls are wired independently in the middle switch position.

Pickup Measurements: 8.0k (neck), 6.9k (bridge)

Hardware: A pickup selector toggle switch has been added. The bottom strap button is also not original.

Weight: 8 lbs

Cosmetic Condition: The bass shows normal signs of age and use, with finish scratches, small dents and dings, and a few finish cracks present on the body. The back has mild buckle rash, and the hardware has tarnished with age. There is also an open screw hole on the treble horn from a previously installed strap button. The back of the neck is satin and smooth, and there is a small pinhole/finish crack at the end of the fretboard, which is not affecting structure or playability.

Modifications/Repairs: The bass has been fully rewired, and a toggle switch has been added. The bottom strap button has also been replaced.

Tech Notes: The bass plays well with low action and optimal neck relief, and is currently set up with 45-100 bass strings. The frets are low with mild wear.

Case Details: Hardshell case
